Are You Real ?

Here is a video discussing Maya – are we just characters in a simulated reality ?

The Christmas Zombies

In the Zombie film, Dawn of the Dead the creator George A Romero has the Zombies return to a shopping mall . The survivors, who are trying to escape from the Zombies wonder why they are drawn to the mall :

What are they doing ? Why do they come here ?

Some kind of instinct . Memory of what they used to do . This was an important place in their lives .

Over the last few months I have rarely watched TV, mainly because the shows are suitable only for the brain dead, but it has meant I have avoided the Christmas advertising . When I have ventured into town for shopping, I was faced with a mass of humanity seemingly in some form of hysteria rushing from shop to shop adding another shopping bag to their collection .

Yet even when Christmas is over, the shopping frenzy continues as the Sales start and again humans venture out to accumulate more possessions, which they will use for a short time and then dispose of them . On my visits to the shops, my reaction was : ‘ What are you all doing ‘ ? I have always realised that Christmas shopping was insane but this year, it has been brought into sharper focus .

The Zombie analogy is actually quite accurate . We are the only animal that consumes more than it needs and it is an ‘ instinct ‘ . We believe we need more and this belief is compounded by the brainwashing in the Media . This part of us is triggered and off we go to the shops, buying objects we do not really need . Christmas shoppers are in a brain dead state, operating on automatic pilot like the Zombies .

This desire to have more comes from the belief in the human psyche that we are not good enough and we are not complete, so the shopper zombies are trying to fill this unfulfilled hole with physical objects . This belief is wrong – everyone is good enough and already complete . We do not need anything outside of our Self .

So This Is Christmas

So this is Christmas and what have you done ?
Another year over . And a new one just begun .
John Lennon

Christmas is here yet again . With the time compression we are experiencing, it only feels like six months since the previous one and it probably is just that . Christmas is meant to celebrate the birth of Jesus on 25th December and Christians give presents and party in thanks for this birth .

In reality, this is not the case . Christmas is actually a pagan, for want of a better word, festival linked to the Winter Solstice and all the merriment is not connected to the birth of Jesus but the Sun . The 21st December is the Winter Solstice and the longest day in the northern hemisphere, and in symbolic terms the death of the Sun . On the 25th December we celebrate its rebirth, hence the excitement .

Other Christian feast days which have a pagan background are Easter, which is another Death/Rebirth date and the Harvest Festival . Christianity became an official religion when Constantine, the Roman Emperor had a conversion from the worship of Sol Invictus, the Roman Sun God or so says official Christian orthodoxy . In my opinion and others it was closer to a corporate merger than a takeover, with Christianity incorporating many aspects of Sun worship .

Pope Benedict & the Sun ?

Jesus is referred to as the Son of God and I think this is no coincidence that this phrase is very similar to the Sun God . In fact Jesus’ death and resurrection is another Death/Rebirth tale similar to Osiris or The Green Man .

In my opinion, Jesus was a great teacher and healer but his holy days are not linked to him but actually celebrate more ancient Gods . It is the birth of the Sun which is worshipped on Christmas day not Jesus . I just thought you ought to know .

The War in our Mind

Last weekend in Sweden a Moslem man attempted to explode a huge bomb which would have left many dead and injured . Luckily he failed and blew himself up but less luckily in Pakistan, American drones have killed sixty people . This action has been defended saying the dead are militants but if history is anything to go by, we will probably find out at least some of the dead have nothing to do with the fighting .

Each side will justify their actions seeing their targets as the enemy in their warped minds . They have been brainwashed into thinking that the answer to their problems comes from murder . But where does the brainwashing come from ? The answer lies within our Mind .

Our Egoic mind believes in separation from each other and separation from our spiritual Self, and when it is threatened it will find an excuse to continue this separation . It is literally fighting for its survival and this is what is happening with the wars in the the world . It feeds off disharmony and hatred and will create events to nourish itself . It needs more and more as its energy banks are depleted to re-energise itself .

This mind believes that it needs an enemy . All of us create enemies and this mutual dislike is really an attempt by our Egoic mind to avoid joining with each other . We take sides but all this does is continue the pain within our Mind . We separate the world into Christians, Moslems, Buddhists etc but again this is an attempt to separate ourselves from the other faiths .

The answer lies in mentally not fighting and seeing others as ‘ the enemy ‘ . It is accepting others as they are, not how our mind tells us they should be . Dropping bombs solves nothing and the solution can only be found where the problem came from – the Mind .
